Virginia’s Chief Procurement
Officer is seeking a highly experienced business leader to help direct the
business activities of various statewide business programs. These include
Virginia’s award-winning centralized “eVA” eProcurement enterprise fund program
and the Virginia Strategic Sourcing Initiative (“VSSI”) internal service fund
program. The position works collaboratively with leadership and stakeholders to
manage activities supporting the mission of the state procurement activity.
Financial responsibilities include oversight and management of budgets,
revenues, and expenses that support all programs. Other business activities
include assisting the state’s national cooperative contracting efforts through
membership in NASPO as well as helping develop and advance the skills of
Virginia’s professional procurement workforce through the Virginia Institute of
Procurement (VIP) training and certification program, plus Virginia’s annual
state public procurement forum which draws over 1,000 attendees annually.
