The National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) and the Canadian Public Procurement Council (CPPC) are excited to announce the launch of a strengthened effort focused on elevating public procurement across Canada.
“We are thrilled to collaborate more closely with our colleagues in the Canadian public procurement community,” said Lindle Hatton, Chief Executive Officer of NASPO. “This new collaboration will allow us to further our mission of fostering excellence in procurement on both sides of the border. We look forward to the many opportunities and benefits this enhanced partnership will create.
Over the last year, NASPO has envisioned a partnership that will elevate the procurement profession on a global scale to encourage future professionals to pursue a career in public procurement. NASPO looked to the Canadian Public Procurement Council as a valued partner and one that is positioned to aid in the effort of achieving global acceptance of public procurement as a true profession; one that is supported by universal standards and certifications. The vision for NASPO is to elevate the profession through a shared vision and collaboration between NASPO and CPPC.
François Émond, Executive Director of CPCC, echoed the positive sentiments. “The collaboration between NASPO and CPPC marks an exciting milestone for public procurement in Canada,” he said. “By joining forces with NASPO, our goal is to strengthen efforts in delivering superior procurement solutions for the benefit of all Canadians.”
Over the past months, executive teams from both organizations have worked together to lay the strategic foundations for this exciting new joint venture. NASPO and CPPC plan to unveil more details and resources in early 2024 as planning milestones are achieved. For more information, visit www.naspo.org and www.cppc-ccmp.ca.
